Ms. Grace S. Mesopirr - Commissioner

Grace Mesopirr is an accomplished education professional with over 13 years of experience in education, project management, and environmental sustainability. She served as the Senior Education for Sustainable Development Officer at the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). Prior to that, she held roles at World Vision Kenya, including Project Officer-Education and Gender Specialist. Currently pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), she earned her Bachelor of Education Degree (Arts) from Moi University. Additionally, she completed a Certificate program in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) from The Earth Charter Centre for ESD and a Senior Management Course from the Kenya School of Government (KSG). As an Environmental Inspector, she underwent training on Principles of Compliance and a Basic Enforcement Course from NEMA. With her educational background, Ms. Mesopirr brings expertise in enhancing organizational systems, processes, and policies. She has strong leadership, planning, and coordination abilities, enabling her to develop policies, oversee daily operations, implement strategies, and ensure compliance. Ms. Mesopirr excels in fostering productive working relationships and represents the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry in the Nairobi Rivers Commission, where she chairs the Strategy and Partnerships Committee.
