Carlotta Dal Lago is an international executive and a catalyst for change with over 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, and communications. She excels in leading global communications and public engagement strategies, specializing in stakeholder engagement, strategic marketing, and business development.
She is currently the Head of Business Development, Marketing, and Communications at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, East Africa’s largest independent law firm, and the wider legal alliance ALN. Before that, she successfully built business development, marketing, and communications strategies for global organizations such as Bain & Company, Accenture, and the World Economic Forum.
In addition to her corporate expertise, Carlotta is deeply committed to environmental sustainability and resource management. As a Commissioner of the Nairobi River Commission (NRC), she plays a pivotal role in leading multi-stakeholder initiatives focused on plastic and waste management to restore Nairobi’s river ecosystems. She actively contributes to policy development, advocacy efforts, and strategic partnerships that integrate environmental conservation with economic development, leveraging her expertise in institutional relations, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable urban planning.
Carlotta is also a leading environmentalist and climate champion, serving as the Chairperson of the Nairobi Arboretum Conservancy Community Forest Association (NAFFCA). She has been a strong advocate for policy reforms, including the East Africa draft bill to ban single-use plastics, and sits on the Advisory Board of the FlipFlopi Project, a pioneering East African initiative promoting circular economy solutions.
Carlotta’s contributions have earned her recognition as one of the Top 25 Women in Management in Africa by Women in Management Africa. Under her leadership, ALN Kenya received the EMEA Transform Award (Best Brand Identity – Professional Sector) in 2023 and the Dennis Quansah Green Building Society Award for its outstanding contributions to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
