Anab Mohamed Gure is a seasoned public service professional with a distinguished career in governance, community development, and policy advocacy. She has a strong track record of championing social justice, gender equality, and legislative reforms to improve service delivery at both local and national levels. As the Women Representative for Garissa County in the Kenya National Assembly (2017–2022), she played a crucial role in shaping policies, advocating for women’s rights, and overseeing government operations to ensure transparency and accountability.

Her career spans various sectors, including research and electoral processes. She has served as a Research Assistant at the Kenya Bureau of Statistics and a Civic Education Officer with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), where she developed civic education programs and engaged stakeholders to enhance voter participation. Anab holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Human Resource Option) from East African University and a Diploma in Community Development & Counseling.

She is highly skilled in leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving, with fluency in English, Kiswahili, and Somali, enabling her to thrive in multicultural environments.
